Lizzie Mandler + Gilt City LA = Champagne, Cupcakes, & Shopping

Jewelry designer Lizzie Mandler is teaming up with Gilt City for a "Jewelry and Hands Night Out" on December 2, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Polish Salon on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. This mix and mingle event will have champagne, baked goods from Buttercake Bakery, and a gift card for a manicure at Polish. Plus Lizzie will be on hand for style advice as you shop her gorgeous collection of unique jewelry. A ticket purchase through Gilt City will get you all kinds of goodies at the event but if you and a few girlfriends want to show up to only browse the trunk show, then the more the merrier. Could you ask for a better evening with your girlfriends? I think not.

About Lizzie Mandler: 

Lizzie has designed unique pieces for celebrities including David Beckham and Rihanna. She was commissioned by Mr. Beckman to design a bracelet for the Spice Girls to commemorate their reunion tour.

"I am truly inspired by the sentimental value that jewelry can have," said Lizzie over email. "Jewelry is forever, and I strive to create pieces that are extravagant enough for one special night or simple enough for a lifetime"

She started making jewelry as a hobby when she was 13, however it wasn't until she took a metal smithing class her senior year in high school that she realized it was more than a hobby.  She then continued her schooling in metal smithing in Florence, Italy, where she studied the traditional methods.  Having grown up in a family full of artists, she was always struggling to find the medium that would separate her from the rest of her very talented family. Jewelry was the medium she choose and how happy are we that she did!

Her sister, Marisa Mandler, is a talented artist in her own right. She received her B.F.A. from NYU and her M.F.A. from USC in 2008 and is currently living and working in Berlin as a recipient of a Willert Grant. Her brother, Anthony Mandler, has written and directed music videos for artists including Rihanna ("Russian Roulette"), John Mayer ("Who Says"), Jay-Z ("Run This Town"), Mary J. Blige ("The One"), The Killers ("A Dustland Fairytale"), John Legend ("Everybody Knows"), T.I. ("Live Your Life"), One Republic ("Stop and Stare") and Muse ("Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)").

Jewelry event will include a pair of Sterling Silver dove studs with black diamonds, a manicure gift card for future use at Polish, $25 towards shopping, and a meet and greet with the designer. Champagne and sweet treats will be provided. 

Ultimate Night Out With Necklace: $210

Jewelry event will include a 14k initial necklace, a manicure gift card for future use at Polish, $25 towards shopping, and a meet and greet with the designer. Champagne and sweet treats will be provided.
